Things To Do
One of the reasons we chose Bar Harbor is because of the multitude of activities to be had in close proximity. Most of these are located minutes away from where we will be staying at The Atlantic Oakes.
We plan to stay in Bar Harbor for the week following the Big Day and will post a more detailed itinerary for said events on our Schedule of Events page in the near future. Here is a list outlining some of the many great things to do in or near Acadia National Park.
Another great resource for activities in the area is the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce (800-450-9990). They have an amazing publication, The “Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce Official Guide”, that outlines varous activities in the park and on the island, activties to do with the whole family, a calendar of events for the summer, and dining. In addition, the guide has an entire section filled with maps, which are quite useful if you don’t know the area.
